The Knoll's annual summer camp is ran by Gene Molina and Justin Cook (both USPTA certified), and runs for a total of 8 weeks throughout June, July and August. This camp will be full of drills, games, and matches that cover different aspects of tennis, from groundstrokes to volleys to serving and more. SUMMER CAMP 2025! Coaches Gene Molina and Justin Cook
The Knoll Indoor Tennis Club will be running its annual summer camp - run for over 18 years with coach Gene Molina. We are happy to announce that we will be welcoming back coach Justin Cook! Our 2025 Summer Camp will be run on a week-to-week basis starting June 23 through August 15 for a total of 8 weeks. The camp will run Monday through Friday, except for 4th of July week which will be Monday -Thursday, as 4th of July is on Friday of that week.
The camp will be run by full time Knoll Teaching Pros Gene Molina, certified U.S.P.T.A teaching professional for 20 years, and Justin Cook, certified U.S.P.T.A. teaching professional for 18 years.
This year on a weekly basis we will provide both full day or half day options for camp. The full day weekly option will run 9am-3pm Monday through Thursday, with a half day 12-3pm Friday. The half day weekly option will run 9am-1pm Monday through Thursday, also including the 12-3pm Friday. For full day sessions, we have added a couple new options for our students to enjoy! During the 1-2pm lunch hour, students can partake in some competitive video games while they are also enjoying each-other’s company. We hope to have fun as well as learn teamwork and problem solving skills while they play. There will be access to playing tennis as well during this time, in case players decide they would like to play tennis instead of video games. From 2 - 3 p.m. we will be offering tennis match play games, as well as on court games like dodgeball and other games similar to their gym sessions at school including pickleball.
The camp features:
- 4 well-maintained blue indoor courts. Always air-conditioned!
- Skill levels from beginner to advanced, ages 9 - 18
- Enthusiastic, attentive staff that cares about students making great progress while they have fun!
Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m:
9 a.m. - 10 a.m. Warm up, task based short court drills, short court shot specific drills,
competitive games
10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Groundstroke development, task based forehand and backhand drills,
competitive games
11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Singles and doubles groundstroke games. Serve and return practice
1 p.m. - 2 p.m. Lunch and Video Games! Players will have access to video game console gaming
as well as some board games and other varieties of fun games. There will be access to
the tennis courts during this time as well if players decide they want to play tennis.
Lunch (Lunch will NOT be provided. Our cooking skills are not up to
par with our coaching skills)
2 p.m. - 3 p.m. Tennis competition will continue as well as access to games with
competitive aspects such as dodgeball and pickleball.
Competitive point play with serving and returning, approach shot, volley and overhead
drill/competition
Friday 12 p.m. - 3 p.m: Tournament based match play. Players get to play in a
tournament to experience match play in a true competitive situation.
